products and services. The information here will allow you to consider your options, compare prices between different funeral directors and help you make a suitable choice.
ATTENDED FUNERAL (funeral director’s charges only)
This is a funeral where family and friends have a ceremony, event or service for the deceased person at the same time as they attend their burial or cremation.
Completing all the necessary legal and administrative requirements. This can be done at your home, at our premises in Elgin or via email/telephone. Follow-up meetings and updates as required.

Collection and transportation of the deceased from the place of death (within Moray) to the care of William Watson Funeral Directors in Elgin, seven days a week (8.00am - 8.00pm)

Care of the deceased including dressing before funeral.

Supplying a suitable wood effect coffin (real wood veneer available as a cost option)

Providing unlimited family viewing. Out of hours appointments can be arranged. We are obliged by law to charge for this service. Out of respect this has been kept to the bare minimum.

UNATTENDED FUNERAL (funeral director’s charges only)
This is a funeral service in which family and friends may have hold a private service or ceremony at a venue arranged by themselves but do not attend the burial or cremation itself.

For an attended or unattended burial there will be a burial/interment fee. This includes charges for digging and closing a new grave or reopening and closing an existing grave (within Moray, fee applicable to Moray residents).

Where a charge has a £0.00 fee its is either a waived fee or the funeral takes place within Elgin and the fee is not charged.
